That's a pretty standard price. If you're interested in a 5-speed swap, that's a good buy. :)

xsperf 09-23-2005 09:25 PM

so what are you hinting, that your are going to do 6 speed?

lol, there we go again

i sure would like to dump my slushbox...

Hey does anyone know if the brake+clutch pedal bolt pattern will fit on autos ?

i mean do they make the chassis specific for auto or manual , or are they all the same they just put different parts on at the factory?

just wondering how much of a pain in the ass this changeover would be.

xsperf 09-23-2005 09:43 PM

well yes they will, and that kit includes everything for your car.. it says that doesnt it?

komodo 09-23-2005 10:32 PM

Expect $2,000 for the total cost of the swap. That's parts and labor.

In addition to my tranny, I'm also gonna do things like a short shifter and such at the same time. :) I'm expecting closer to $4k.

xsperf 09-23-2005 10:43 PM

you should also get a clutch stop komodo, not the 60 dollar one bav auto sells, because there are hundres of DIY's that you can make them for like 2 bucks...

defkon99 09-23-2005 10:48 PM

well it says it comes with everything you need to install, but then again it would be wise to rebuild it and install the parts that wear ( clutch, and any cables) but as for the labor im pretty sure i can get it done on my own.

If you can do the swap yourself, go for it man!
