E36General discussion and technical help for (E36) 1992-1999 3 series cars. 318, 323, 325, 328.
My dad just called and gave me some interesting news about my car (which is in Pennsylvania with him and not in Ohio with me ): He had called asking me how to work the sunroof, and I, of course, asked him if he was retarded. But, it turned out that it really wasn't closing. This is because some mice have taken up residence in my fuse box and somehow managed to make the sunroof open but not close. My dad doesn't have the digital camera, I do, so, sorry no pics. I just thought it was pretty crazy so I thought I'd share!

eeew moth balls? I'd rather have mice than have my car smell like my grandparents.....Fucking moth balls
Well, I figure I'd rather have the moth ball smell than have all my wires chewed through. But I'd gladly take other ideas of how to keep them out, cuz I think they're quite comfortable in there because my dad said they made a little nest with part of my hood insulation.
I don't know how they got in. I was thinking maybe they crawled in through the opening between the hood and windshield, then a car cover would solve it. But they probably could have come up from underneath, too, and I don't know how I would keep them from getting in that way.
