I think my battery done for. What should I replace it with?
or what is a good brand Battery for a bmw E36?
I'm going to the local Sears here for a $12 diagnosis and I think I may have to get Diehard... :dunno cause that is discounted if the diagnosis tells me I need a new battery... help... |
go to a local autozone, they test batteries for free. don't pay 12 dollars to have it tested.
|
You should replace it with another battery.

I just got my battery replaced, I think the guy gave me an interstate one or something. I think it was something crazy like $100, but he probably charged to put it in which is gay... Even though he drilled some hole that was supposed to be there.
|
get the most powerfull battery you can fit in there. Cause if u plan on putting in stereo upgrades like subs and stuff itll pay off big. the more power the more accesories u cna have or longer u can have em on
|
so batteries have power rated other than volatge ratings?
I'll look into to it...it seems that brand is not much of an object... I was thinking that one brand may be the best... I'm in Tallahassee Zeaq...and Sears is the only place I've found so far. After classes I'll probably drive around. Target at the Mall also sells batteries. |
I made the mistake of replacing mine with an OEM battery from the stealership. :(

I replaced with OEM too.

Optima batteries are the best batteries on the market right now.. a very good way to shed some weight too - theyre much lighter than stock.
theyll set you back 100-140 though. |
Optima batteries....so hot right now.
|
Make sure the vent tube is properly reconnected & routed when you get the battery replaced.
