Whatever on the Pioneer subs. Kaption Spls are nice, won't blow up. If you have the fold down (lux) armrest that helps alot. I have two 10 inch Kaption Spls in a box that pound like crazy, like I said the armrest helps. Bimmers are hard to get the sound through because they're so solid on the inside. Hate the raddling plate, hardest one to stop.

What the back shelf, sounds like you were talking about subs.

Why don't you just turn down your speakers a little and keep the subs up? Just have the subs do most of the bass.

The subs are the only ones doing the bass.... The speakers them selfs produce no bass. My guess is that the bass produced by the subs, overtime, damages the speakers.

But as I said, it gets me new speakers for free, so i don't really care...

I doubt the subs are causing damage to the speakers. Are you still using the stock amp for the speakers?
