STeering Wheel Upgrade! Best Sports Wheel for the E36!? (judge pictures)

Okay, I'm really into turning my 318i in an ALPINA style E36...I was looking to upgrade my steering wheel (since it's getting old and worn at the thumb holds)
What do ya'll suggest?

it looks to me like you've made up your own mind.

I like the alpina style

the last style.

but if you are going for performance an aftermarket wheel would do you much better from what I have heard.

I like that Momo wheel and that e46 m3 wheel.

xsperf 09-11-2005 11:14 AM

alpina e36 style, e46 style looks weird and unfit on an e36

delmarco 09-11-2005 11:20 AM

that momo wheel is tight!

DEATH2000 09-11-2005 12:32 PM

yea id go with the Momo one first. But since it doesnt have the roundel id go with the Alpina one or the E46 M3 one. which evers cheaper

zeaq328i 09-11-2005 12:47 PM

My car came with last style.hehe..didn't know it's an Alpina style. :D

it's not an alpina steering wheel, it's just a bmw steering wheel.

put an alpina roundel in it and theres your alpina steering wheel.

the euro wheel has 3 spokes, the US one has 4. and all alpina e36's are euro so you get the three spoke.

okay, first of all, this is a daily driver, not a racecar... second, its delmarco driving... keep it as is...you wont have any airbag issuses... why would you go with a racing type steering wheel when you dont need it, and you will lose an airbag(or just a lot of money)

save your money

defkon99 09-11-2005 01:45 PM

gay i got a 4 spokes.

Rooz 09-11-2005 01:56 PM

The Momo one would look really good if you had some Stainless steel in the car..

brien4787 09-11-2005 02:23 PM

anyways, out of the 3 first pictures, the 4 spoke looks better in my eyes
