well youd need a 4.6L V8 engine first

Rooz 09-11-2005 10:21 AM

I though you didn't care for going fast.... just wanted show, no go....

Plus, you would need LOTS of $$ and such a swap would take many labor hours to do it...

What I like about Alpina is that they focus on innovative performance modifications as well as "show" or interior modifications as well. I like their style, it's very classy. I may not be able to put a B8 cylinder in my engine bay but
I'm definately seeking out ALPINA
1. Alpina rims
2. Alpina steering wheel package
3. Alpina Front bumper

4. Trunk lid badge.

I love those rims. They kinda look like the CLK rims from MB. As for the trunk badge.... HELL NO del. Dude unless u have serious Alpina engine mods dont.

Rooz 09-11-2005 01:54 PM

They look like the old rims I had just bigger....

you plan on buying GENUINE alpina rim's delmarco? they're probably worth more than your whole car.

^^ I agree with that comment

you are right...I looked it up. Geniune ALPINA goods are not only expensive , but as rare as brontasaurus eggs!
You have to call some dude in Brussels, who may or may not ask you to come in for an appointment with your car (shipping car overseas)
he looks over your requests and if it is approved you have to have your car shipped to ALPINA and they would add the parts on...
at least that is how they did it back in the days...not sure now...but parts are rare and expensive...
a new set of rims would cost about $5,000 to $7,000 US and that is before shipping!
I may just opt for the steering wheel and trunk badge mods and if I pick up an ALPINA like Bumper along the way then good for me...

DEATH2000 09-12-2005 12:08 AM

^^ u can always find replicas. i know MB made a rim just like that for the CLK-GTR and other cars. Carrlson made made a rim like it which went for crazy money, but now replica ones sell on ebay for like $900

delmarco 09-12-2005 12:16 AM

$900 for rims alone is way outside of my puny budget...
I got about $400 left over from my summer mods...and that is going to new brakes,
and a new idle pulley tensioner along with AC and waterpump belts.

I'm also waiting for $400 to fix my hood and $200 to paint detail my rear bumper!

Rooz 09-12-2005 12:18 AM

don't you already have aftermarket wheels?
