New Rear Shocks and Mount...pics after the RSM welding surgery!

Nothing fancy...The paint job looks like a baker did it...they gobbed it on the mount so it looked like icing onn a cake...
I request Z3 reinforced mounts and E46 mount heads...I got niether! The idiots at the dealership didn't think it would work so they didn't put in the order for the parts...So I got E36 garbage roght in there...but he did reinforce it from underneath (I was told) with multiple steel washers. He said it was just as good. I hate dealerships..but my insurance covered the work there..

oh and the car drives 100% and 100 times better than ever before since I bought it..
my acceleration, braking and comfort is so so so much better.
You'll be surprised how huge a difference shocks make...

Good deal. Keep an eye on it though, in case the area weakens again, hopefully they did a good job on it.

You should have used a stronger mount than the stock one... just asking for it to happen again.

Yeah I wanted the Z3 reinforcements and the E46 mount stopper... (see pics below)...
But they have a process there and they do BMW factory work I guess...no extra modifications...I guess it would void the warranty....What I like about going back to the dealership for bodywork is that it has a lifetime warranty on labor and parts...
so I don't rreally care if the mounts blow...it'll be going right back to them..

lol, the ford Model T was the first mass produced automobile, it had no shocks. that's what he's refering to. he's just being a smartass =) cause everyone has shocks.

It doesn't matter if the dealership did what he said or not, still has the stock ones in there.
