balljoints, CAB's, and new rotors/pads up front.. should tighten everything up.

And maybe tires for my contours.. if i can find somewhere to mount and balance them for under 50 bucks

Im going to attempt to do an alignment myself too..
I got mounting & balancing for $60. What have people used for lubrication when/if anyone has done the CAB's? I'll be doing mine soon, and just wondering if dish detergent will suffice? And c4talyst, your attempt at the alignment would be an interesting read, if you have the time to document it.

(edit): Oh snap, I just noticed . . Happy Birthday c4t!!

What size tires did you get mounted for that much?

I was going to use either windex or dish soap mixed with water, i cant really think of anything else that would work better, any kind of silicon or grease lube would probably stop the CAB from sticking onto the CA.

For the alignment.. i havent done my research yet, and im not sure of how to check everything - toe and castor im not sure on yet (theres a bunch of different methods), but camber seems extremely easy to check. All of these settings can be found using simple tools like string, a level, a square, tape measure, and other little things im sure. And as for how precise this will be, ive heard that if done correctly it will be in the same margin as any good alignment shop.

The main thing im worried about is making sure the ground im doing this on is at least somewhat level, my driveway is gravel so thats kind of out of the question.. i think im going to pour a pad of concrete in my dads boat shed to make sure its as level as possible. Also im going to be repainting my sideskirts and one of my doors, so i need a place where i can keep the car out of the rain and clean until thats done. I would literally kill for a f'ing garage right about now.

A lot of track junkies and club car racing guys do this stuff themselves so i figure i mine as well give it a shot.

One of the main reasons i want to do the alignment myself is that it will teach me alot about how my suspension works and alot about how these settings effect handling and tire wear. (also im poor and i cant afford an alignment )

Unfortunatly my camera is broken so i wont be able to take any pics, but i will do my best to write up my methods after ive made my attempt.
