Umnitza now provides a mechanic to install all parts ordered right in the box! It's their new "Total customer service program" that will eliminate all the haters and keep incompetents from breaking **** and blaming the vendor! When you are all set simply call INS and they will pick him up free of charge.
yes, it is basically just insulation, so the engine will sound louder but i doubt it will make that big of a difference, just if you are removing it be careful of the light bulb and the windshield washer jets
what does it look like without it? well you cant see it unless its open

it serves 2 purposes: One keeps the engine heat from traveling up into the base coat of the paint. And two in the event of an engine fire, the clips are meant to burn and break thus releasing the insulation on top of the fire. I wouldn't remove it.

hmm my car sounds louder than that, maybe it's just me. I can't rev up my car much tho because neighbors are gay, and I can't drive my car in the garage right now.
Sounds like you can hear the valves better.. definetly better sound up top, but i wouldnt have taken it off.. its there to protect the paint from the heat of teh engine.
Well if it hurts the hood, that's a pretty good reason to go CF.
Kinda like when that mailbox jumped out in front of me and broke one mirror. I could have just replaced the mounting bracket, but I seized the opportunity and used it as an excuse to get m3 mirrors. hehe

Did you read my mind??? The paint on my hood is already F-ed up, it's not really shinney, kinda dull, weird thing is that ONLY the hood is like that...
And I completely agree... something being F-ed is the best reason to upgrade, reason why am doing new SS brake lines
But Yeah, plans for an MF Shaw hood in the future are made
And Yes I kept the lining, matter of fact I Keep ALL My OEM parts.
