Turbo so when I'm cruising along at like 40 and a passenger tries reaching forward to grab something, I can flick my foot forward and pin them against the seat so they can't reach whatever they're trying to get.

If you wanted an engine to use with a turbo to respond the best you should get an m50 non-vanos.

I know that sentence isn't written very well, but you get the idea.

you might also try getting some lighter engine parts (pistons, etc.) to use along with the turbo. since a turbo takes time to spool, a lower-inertia engine will get you on that turbo's powerband sooner.

you dont only use 6 speed for higher top speed, komodo

for instance if you are cruising at 70MPH instead of being in 5th, over 3000K RPM, you can be in 6th gear, at i dont know, but maybe 2000RPM and that may save you a lot of gas

and also, it actually makes your car faster, because its not like it has the same gear ratios from 1-5, and just 6 is different, 1st gear - 6th gear are all different, so yes, if you can shift quickly enough it should make your car much faster

EDIT: oh yes, and since you gunna do a tranny swap, you need to replace your differential, and im guessing youd go with the 4:11 or whatever it is, which on a normal e36 tranny youd be 70 at 4K rpm(i think, b/c i know of a car that is like that) and 6 speed would really help there

if you bought a 6 speed you could get closer ratio gears for more acceleration and still maintain the top speed.

just a little heads up, if you do that, then that thing that they are trying to reach will also fly back making it much easier for them to get
