I feel like a little boy coming into the middle of a conversation.... all lost and confused
It sounds like you are going to have some awesome new parts on your bimmer. You should try to find a dyno day in the area so you can have some real proof as to what all the mods did for you. Any thoughts about what you will be running now after everything is installed?

Not a big fan of the SMG. It's all the hassles of the manual transmission w/out the clutch. You still roll forward & backwards, but there is no clutch to help modulate the problem.

I dont call those hassles, they are everyday and I'm used to them and I actually really like some of those things. The only time a manual is bad is in heavy slow moving (stop and go) traffic. Your not supposed to use your clutch to hold the car in place thats how you burn them, use the brake peddle or park brake. And I believe there is an actuall clutch with SMG its just your not pushing it, a computer is doing all the work, I also believe that SMG has some things to keep you from rolling backwards on a hill (I'm not sure though, so don't quote me).
