rev stops at 5000 rpm

i have a 1998 bmw e36 328is and i had a bad right rear bearing that needed to be changed, now after i replaced the bearing and everything was put back to together i took it for a spin at high rpms just to make sure that the shop did a good job, i noticed at ever gear i go through the engine stop catching the axle to keep spining the tires at exactly 5ooo rpms. the car goes through every gear but stops catching at 5ooo rpms, and this started right after i got the bearing changed. what could the shop have touched , or did not align right when they changed the bearing.

Do you have an ABS light illuminated on the dash? The only thing down there is the pickup for the wheel speed sensor.

yes i do ABS light is on, and after i fixed the bearings, i noticed the problem, so i took it to get a scan and the first thing that poped up is speed sensor, would the problem to my rpms not going all the way to 7ooo

Not sure about limiting the revs on the engine unless the traction control is kicking in. I would however take it back and have them complete the repair by fixing whatever didn't get put back correctly and caused the light to come on
