323i instrument panel lights not working
Hi Guys,
have a problem with instrument panel and dashboard lights not working.
Everytime i change the fuse it blows after a couple of minutes
and because the parkers are on the same circuit they dont work either
have looked at the connections i think are linked but wave found nothing to say there is a short anywhere.

If you have recently replaced any bulbs in your parker/tail light circuit, double check to ensure they are the correct type. The light switch itself can also fail causing problems, so check it and the dimmer circuit for short circuits. Your best bet in fighting electrical problems is to download the BMW Electrical Troubleshooting Manual for your car from here http://www.wedophones.com/BMWManualsLead.htm (it's free!)

Thx Dave, the link you gave was useful but i had trouble trying to understand them but thanks anyway
Had a bit of a poke around under the dash today (installing usb port in console)
and noticed that the heater control was humming, so i removed it from the dash and unplugged it.
Now when i turn the ignition on the heater blower stays on even though nothing is plugged in, is this normal ie: open cuircuit, or could there be a fault there which is linked to the same circuit as the dash lights?

The blower is activated when the ignition is switched on as part of the automatic aircon, the only way to switch it off (apart from physically disconnecting it) is to code that option off with some BMW coding software.
