The pic is too dark and grainy to tell for sure, but it looks like Burl. Burlwood is cut from the bulbous outgrowths found most often at the base of a tree, which is why it isn't a straight grained pattern. It'll look swirly and usually has dark spots, or 'eyes'.

Yeah, that's the only area where I have wood trims, do you guys have them somewhere else too? And reason why I need to know what kind it is is becasue the shifter has been cracked for a while and now it's starting to become annoying...
