cutting rotors

hey. simple question. Is it bad to cut or "true" rotors when they are warped?

A warped rotor is a bad rotor, no sense trying. Besides, BMW doesn't recommend cutting their rotors.

i mean, why not.... if it is for street use, and you still have some life on your pads, why not cut, then wait until pads are gone?

^^If your rotors have to be cut, then that means your pads are bad, too.

well, on a BMW they don't recommend cutting rotors bcs well, they want you to buy them.

But as far as cutting warped rotors, it's possible and I have cut warped rotors before and they ended up just fine (not for my own car, but I have done it)

haha oops i was thinking about needing new pads, and just cutting the rotors... ahh, i need to start reading better
