Smile clear tails

Hey can someone send me a link with tail lights that are clear on the top for below say $200 brand new. I assume ebay, but I don't know which ones give the OBC error.

Rooz didn't you get yours from ebay? do they spit out an OBC code?

Yes, I got mine from ebay, and YES I had a very fun time getting them to work. The key factor is to MAKE 100% sure THEY DO NOT SEND YOU THE ONES WITH THE ORANGE BULB HOUSING!

It took me a GOOD amount of time to get that crap out of my tails for them to be true clear tails. And when you get them, they are never just plug and play, there is always a margin or work to be done to them, which is mainly scrapping some plastic to get the bulbs to go in perfectly. I think I paid like $170 for mine shipped and I am pleased with them now

Ebay is the way if you want them but don't feel like paying $400-$500 for them

EDIT: I'll see if I can find the thread I made on bimmewerkz about them

Those look like the tails Rooz bought. The problem he had with them was that they have an orange section in them. I'm sure he can explain better.

Check out this Bimmerforums GB. I would pay more for the feeling of knowing if it throws OBC errors, the guy seems to care and will work with you to get it fixed.

I don't know how the OBD-I cars are wired but the wiring on those doesn't look like mine...

Look at how your's are wired, just take the cover off. Also, you don't want them to have that little orange buble on the inside....

Yeah, I mean, I really like how mine turned out and look (Final product) but I was under the impression that I was purchasing them without those orange bubles.

Also, those look really "smooth" they aren't OEM style (3 seperate stripes and the slanted slash in the middle)
