The Future of the Komodo-mobile
I'm not going to say much. All I'm saying is this will be a long term process and before I finish it, I'll have done the tranny conversion.
*walks away grinning, holding receipt for a brand new, shiny Greddy Type RS BOV* :redspotda |
Sounds awesome :redspotda
Please keep count of how much the tranny conversion cost cause I might want to do it one day. |
DAMM, you have way to much money. Your car is the shit man, all the gadgets and crap now this.

Wow! Very impressive :eyecrazy

make sure you know how to drive stick before you get the turbo installed, aftermarket clutch is a lot harder to drive, well for me..
|
Vroooom psssst....
VROOOOOOOMMMM PSTTTTTTTTTTT VROOOOOOM BOOOOOOOOOOOOM :lol But make sure you don't do a half ass job on the Turbo, do it PERFECT from start to finish, don't go cheap on it. If you do it right using like ~30 pounds of boost could make you have +500whp How do I know, the best friend of a co-worker got a 240sx with I think 32lbs of boost and is putting out ~522whp. But he did it right from the start. |
Hold on slick, 30 lbs of boost on a BMW? Are you stupid?
A s13 and any BMW are completely different. Dont look at numbers for a nissan and say they are comparable to a BMW. For boost i'd say stay under 10 psi to be safe, preferably around 7 psi. If you redo the internals then maybe MAXIMUM push like 14/15 psi. |
well, I never said to go with 30 pounds of boost on stock, he'd have to re-enforce pretty much everything...
|
30 psi would reguire a complete engine rebuild. the stock engine cannot take that much pressure. id say stay below 15.
on a side not form what i hear the best stock BMW engine for running big boost is actualy my car and the M30 |
better be safe than sorry, would hate to see him put a Turbo even with like 10 pounds of boost and one day when he's doing about 150 have a cylinder blow up on him.....
|
Yes, I'm building it from the ground up with only high quality parts. I'm planning on running on a stock block for a while, but who knows what might come down the road. :) Until then I get to look at my BOV as a nice, shiny paperweight... which it does quite well.
