other car i am looking at, unsure again

some kid in del mar, san diego is selling his car.

its a 93 325is
http://autotrader.com/fyc/vdp.jsp?ca...=en&cardist=49

this kid cant be much older than 20, he sounds much younger..
he said that he has had it for 2 years
his friend owned it before him, and money shifted, he was going from 3rd to 4th, but went into 2nd instead.. blew the motor

they got it replaced
replaced: radiator, water pump ect

he says the paint is fairly good("looks great at night, during the day you can notice a few scratches")
a few small cracks in the windshield he said......(WTF)

his friend that owned it before put in the chip, intake ect..

think i should drive 1+ hour to look at this car? or should i run?

Why do E36 owners think their cars are worth much more than they really are ? Blue book on that is 4500 in Excellent condition (which it doesn't seem to be)... give or take a few hundred depending on location.

Same with you and your car... nobody is gonna pay 6900 for a 93 that's not perfect.

Sounds fishy to me. I'd check it out in person and then make a decision. Pictures on the net won't do much to help you.

Werent you going to by an e30?

3000 dollar e30is+coilovers+rims+tires = 5000.

I wish i had realised this^^ before i bought my car.

That looks like a nice car, to expensive though.. what was the mileage before the money shift?

the nicer e30s I've seen lately are running in the range of e36s which is kind of redicalous. Don't rush buying anything is my advice to you Brien. Find what you're really looking for.
