Well, by now most of you know I have been having some serious, pain in the ass misfire problems. I got the Conforti Shark injector and CAI, and I gotta say, knock on wood, no misfires. I wonder if my stock intake went bad because I had recently recharged my K&N filter. I think there was a part missing from it too.

Anyone work on a 328i intake and find when they were taking it off that there was no "duct" to the front bumper? The Conforti kit instructions I got said something about disconnecting something from the front bumper, but my car had no such thing...

Anyway, a saved trip to the dealer probably, and man does she roar now! I love the mod. I only have the fan delete kit and Stromung exhaust to perform, and my baby will be done for a while. Next will be a Bilstein coil over kit, but that'll be down the road a bit. I do want to get the HFM upgrade too, as well as the cam and e30 manifold kit, but I realize that is down the road a while. I love the new power I got and HIGHLY recommend that you people do these mods!

I realize $600 to $1300 (with exhaust) can be a lot, but for 1.5 hours worth of work, you won't be happier!

trust me you don't want to upgrade your HFM, a guy from bimmerwerkz has done it and he says he's having a horrible time with it, I know bcs I was looking into it and him and I had a long chat on it and he regrets it very much so

^ i was gonna say..changing the intake wouldnt fix a misfire issue. It says you have plasma ignition coils- i bet this is the culprit..

with each part I replace, the misfire gets further and further apart. Like originally I would get it on day 2 to work, then the CEL was always on. Changed the spark plugs back to oem, and the misfire took 1 week to come back. Replaced my intake and chip, and it took 2 weeks. But now, the misfire is not all the time. It comes back after about 10 miles on the highway, but when I turn the car off and then right back on, the car is fine...

VERY ANNOYING!
