Painted Door Handles

I'm planning on painting my door handles. Has anyone ever done this? The thing I'm worried about is the rubber gasket that goes around the door handle.

I can't say I've ever done this or seen it done. I do plan on doing it though when my car goes in for paint next month though...

would look cool dude. What might look cool would be shaved door handles. Sometimes it doesn't look right on all cars though.

I know it looks awesome. I just don't know about the black gasket that goes around it...

I just saw a thread in BF.com about this and most people said that you should'nt paint your door handles. They will look like shit in no time they said.

Yah, but one guy had his painted for over a year and it hadn't cracked. He was the only one that had had it painted. All the others were guessing.

I'll probaly go ahead and leave the gasket black. I can always have it painted it if I want.

my car is silver. I want to finish some exterior mods before I post a pic, cause the car is kinda pulled apart at the moment.

I'm usually not a big fan of painted door handles. Depends how they look. There's a local M here that's Alpine White with the handle part of the black door handles painted white, and the upside down U in black of the door handle looks pretty dumb.... if you guys can understand what I'm talking about.
