and cooling system issues is something to check out. Thermostats tend to go bad, and water pumps.

just a warning..if you dont have $$$ to fix it and need to drive it be warned. The problem could be anything and this seems very suspicous. one thing i learned in life is that if a deal seems too good to be true, it usually is.. for $1000 that thing has to have problems

Rule of thumb when buying a car:

ALWAYS take it to your mechanic to have it inspected. It will be $100-200 that you can spend to avoid thousands in possible repairs down the road.

and BTW: The 325 is a great car. OBDI and there are a TON of extensive mods you can do to it, a few more than the 328 and 323. It is a very reliable car and engine.

But now i have found a black 4 door 325is and its clean just needs a paint job.. But the only problem the man said it had was that the water was not circulating and iam thinking its the water pump he said he doesnt have time to mess with it but my guess would be the water pump. what do you guys think about this

I don't think they make 325is sedans, it would be a 325i (sorry just being picky).

Unless the guy is going to give you the car don't get it. One of the best (non performance oriented) things about BMW's is how good they look. If you want a quality paint job you're going to be spending any where between 3000-5000. That right there about covers the value of the car. Not to mention the circulation issue.

My advice is to just wait a little longer and save a little more cash. An awesome car will show up. It always does.

Oh, well if you’re just looking at getting the water going again you might consider 350-400 for the water pump and installation. If it's your radiator it's going to be over 1000. Just something to consider.

I would still recommend holding off and looking for another one.

Where do you live by the way? Maybe I can help.

Need state, and zip code.

yeah definitely hold off. A good car will come around. I made the mistake of jumping on the first BMW i could get a hold of. Looking back its not that i totally got ripped of or anything, but i know i could have found a car in better condition and with less miles (i just crossed 176K!). Just keep lookin around on the internet/classifieds for some good deals
