Im curious about something, once the fan delete mod has been but in is there anything that ever has to be changed after a while. Like does the watter wetter have to be changed after x sort of miles or anything else regarding the fan delete mod or is everything final once it all put in. Thnx

I would assume that it would have to be changed like regular coolant....

No need, really. Understeer already has the DIY.

Yes, he is. Figured I'd answer for him since he's rarely on UB.

You flush and change the coolant every year, like you normally should. But now each time you flush & change, add water wetter.

I got a OBX aluminum radiator, OBX silicone hoses, new water pump, thermosta housing, and AMSOIL performance radiator coolant. My question is should I do the fan delete kit or just leave the OEM fan on?

Thumbs up

Done it on a 1996 328is and have had no problems in So. Cal. Also changed out the water pump and put on new drive belts while I was at it. Used the Understeer kit and 1.5 bottles of Water Wetter and BMW brand coolant. Temperature holds rock solid regardless of outside temp or A/C use. No fan allows great access for other work. Just tool out alternator to change voltage regulator and it was very easy with no fan.
