i have never done this, nor have i actually have disconnected my fan.... i know i can easily find out myself, but i just got home from work and need to shower and am lazy...
what is the process... i have taken off the big black plastic surrounding of the fan, but what is the process in taking off the fan? do you have to disconnect any fluid hoses at all?

That's why you do the fan delete, to keep kitty safe under the hood I think she was photoshop'ed in there as a joke; she's not there in the thumbnail view.

Don't just rip out the fan . . you have to change the thermostat to a lower temp (80c), and the fan switch has to be the right one (among other things). That way the coolant starts circulating earlier than normal to avoid overheating. The mod works great only if you do it right.

i put the fan back in after i took a quick spin..... i just drove around for a little while

how does that fan work?
i mean, is it redirecting the air flow or what?
it isnt creating a wind current....

I believe it's 88c before it opens up.

It's designed to pull air in through the radiator to cool it, thereby lowering the temperature of the coolant inside . . don't think of it as pushing air into the engine compartment.

I had a talk about this with Chris from Understeer, and he said that the only people he heard having heating issues with fan delete are the ones that didn't flush the coolant when they did it
