E36General discussion and technical help for (E36) 1992-1999 3 series cars. 318, 323, 325, 328.
so pretty much, you guys think i should only offer her about 4-5k?
i wont see the car until thursday, but it looks like i will want new headlights, and shocks pretty soon.... there goes 2 grand, doh.
Open the conversation by offering her 4k because the KBB is just under that value. Hopefully that makes her counter with 5k. Then counter that with, say, $4500. That should make it sound more reasonable to her, since people often counter offer by splitting the difference in half. Doesn't always work tho.
On the shocks/struts, that car is probably riding on more shocks than springs, since the Eibachs's are lower. Bilstein HD's are designed to be used with the taller OEM springs. That's why I mentioned they won't last long. Maybe you can use this to haggle for a lower price on the car.
