Next Mod For My Car - United Bimmer Community

The keypad ignition is still being worked on, but will probably take a while.

The computer setup is almost done, I'm working out a few glitches with power, but hopefully that'll be done in the next few days.

Now, after I finish up the computer system, what do you guys think should be my next mod gadget-wise?

Rims are coming in time, but don't suggest those. haha

I'm thinking I should mod an xbox there and connect it to the lower screen with wireless controllers throughout the cabin. I'd have to mod the controller connector to usb and extend it to mount under the backseat so reception is good (the steel wall behind the backseat kills any signal from the trunk). I'd mod the xbox itself with a 200gb hdd in it for storing games so I'd never have to fool with disks. I'd probably also mod the jewel on the top of the xbox with a bmw roundel just for looks (and a few extra hp). Whatcha guys think?

Like the xbox idea, or do you guys have any other suggestions?

XBOX!!!!!! Totally Xbox, im planning to put one in my car when i get a DVD player put in. I was talking to one of the guys from A&B Sound and they said if u have an Xbox you can actualey set it up to connect it to Xbox live. All you need is a cell phone with internet capability or in ur case the computer you have in your trunk. Its easy to set up if you know how and how pimp would that be if you could say "hey man, im playing Halo 2 in my car" to your buddies on Xbox live?

All show no go. The whole concept of video games in a car is retarded. Once you hit the ripe old age of 16 video games just arent any fun unless you are ridiculously bored and have like 8 people who want to get in on a sports game. Honestly, the idea is pretty good, but the practicality is worthless. Try something else Mr Bond.

I've pretty much decided to stay N/A with this car. In the future I'll probably get a 95 m3 or something and turbo it and do almost all engine work to it, but keep this one for my daily driver. Know what I mean?

Right now it's my only driver. haha, when I talk of getting a second car, it won't be for a long time. And I didn't say I wanted to have a civic for a daily driver. I still want a fun car, just doesn't have to be a dyno queen.

Quit modding unnecessary things, and go actually drive it. You'll spend like 45 hours installing your keypad ignition in the next week, and then you'll drive the car a total of 40 hours in the next month.

i dont like the idea of video games, you will drive your car, and if you really want to play video games(and i never played any video games on TV) for some reason, i hate them, but if you do, you wont stay in your car, you will go inside and play on a real tv, right?

I agree. If I was you I would get m bumpers and rims and m spoiler. If not that then I would do a auto to manual swap.

^i disagree with that i think all he should do is rims i useed to like the idea of trying to make it look like an M but i've decided that i wouldnt want to turn my car into something its not. all some of our E36's could use is painted bumpers/skirts, clean headlights, nice rims, some suspension upgrades and power under the hood.

If I get m bumpers, mirrors, or spoiler I will do it just to make my car look better, not to make it look like an m3. I think the m bumpers look a lot better than the regular bumpers.
