Angry Still don't have it right...

Well folks, it happened for a 3rd time. Driving to work yesterday, everything was fine and dandy. I had my power back, and I was able to get myself around idiot drivers on the turnpike ...

But then, on the way home, it happened again. Cylinder number 5 went bad again. This is the 3rd time I have had this problem now. 1st time I got it fixed, it took a week to come back. This time, it took a day. There must be something causing the sparkplugs to go berserk and make cylinder #5 break the insulation on the plug.

But what? What could cause such a headache? It's not the coils, because OEM coils did it the first time, and I replaced them with better ones. Can't be the spark plugs, I have now put 2 sets in within 2 weeks. Can't be the boots, because I replaced them. So it has to be something else in the ignition system causing it.

Any ideas?

no oil burn whatsoever... the injectors have been brought up as a possibility, but so has the computer. they'll diagnose it...

what's weird, is that every time the car sits for a day or so, the misfire goes away. After being driven to and from work, it comes back...

The CEL even resets itself when it goes away. Weird.
