I might need a new head please help
Ok how is everyone doing?Im doing fine besides the fact i had to tow my car home.Well it all started like this i was driving home from a friends house and i stopped at a stoplight.well the light turns green and i proceed to acclerate at about 5 mph something popped and it sounded like a helicopter was next to me so i pull over and my number 2 sparkplug is gone(96 318i)it blew out of the engine and i tried to put it back but it wasnt tighting so my guess is my thread is all messed up in the engine, does this sound right?
This happened last week but i thought it was because the spark plug wire boot was ripped, only problem i can think of is the thread in the engine.anyone have any ideas?
you may need a new valve cover, or have to retap the one you have now (which i doubt would work).. if i were you i would remove the valve cover and inspect it.
It really doesnt sound TOO bad, dont get to worried.
