steering wheel
currently i have a steering wheel cover on my wheel.. and its getting a little old and starting to crack..
the whole reasoning behind putting this on, was because the leather on the wheel was extremly worn, and was peeling off...
now this is my question
has any 1 purchased the steering wheel covers from bavauto... they are pretty exspensive ($50)...
just thought maybe some 1 had some imput...
thanks!!

You should just get a new steering wheel man... all together... unless you like that one... maybe look into finding a used one...
Good Luck,
Les

you lose part of the luxury bmw feel when you get a wheel like this (some call it ricey) however i like them, my friend has on in his 325, and says it helps a crap load while tracking/autox or just any aggressive driving. I think ill probably end up getting on eventually!

yeah it really does give off that feeling, ive gone for a ride in his car (ovlov) over on dtm and he drives pretty aggressive, we were leaving a shell station and drifting to the next stop sign and with the feel he just kept throwing her back and forth. I guess they give you a huge reduce in how much you actaully have to turn the wheel, and you can drive a lot more aggressive (plus lets be honest! they look SWANG!)
I think ill get one sometime this summer

yea.. seeing as my airbag is busted anyways ive been thinkin about upgrading to something a little more agressive, the momo im sure is very comfortable and very good for autoX, but id like something a little bit more like the mtech2 wheel for e30's...
any ideas? also.. i cant spend over 300

word dude, steering wheel covers look CHEAP imo. Go with a momo or sporty BMW three spoke wheel.
you don't even really need your airbags anyway!
PS: david that black MOMO wheel is HOTT

Check ebay, they have whole steering wheels with the airbag. Mainly E36 and E46 wheels only... I did see an M5 wheel on there when looking for a passenger side door airbag :P
Buy this and get cho' bling bling ohn...
That black momo dosn't look too bad, but it destroys the interior classy-ness of the car without the rest of the interior being ripped out

I would get a steering wheel with an airbag. They saved me from getting messed up when I got in an accident. My old car was a 99, with my 94 I wonder if the airbag still works lol. i would prolly die because it would stink so bad.

im seriously afraid mines just gunna short out one day and blow up in my face, it seems like a timebomb as these cars get older... ive heard of the late e30 airbags just going off.. and those use the same system as e36's.

that is your opinion, you should see some of the wheels they make, these are very low key and arent all flashy. If you were into really aggressive driving you wouldnt care what the wheel looked like, as long as it helped y ou drive better.
