E36General discussion and technical help for (E36) 1992-1999 3 series cars. 318, 323, 325, 328.
For cams, picking up a used set of m3 cams like I did and then having a custom made chip is your best bet for the cheapest HP and most affective (or effective) cam replacement and will also give you the most increase. Did it on my 2.8l engine and it smokes!

for all of the money you would spend on FI to get the numbers you want, you would be better off going to bimmerworld.com and getting a euro M3 motor that puts out about 280 HP. You can then chip it and have easily over 300 HP. That way not only will it be in about the same price range (not including labor, EEEKKKK), but you will also avoid forced induction which will kill the life of your engine.

GET SOME NAWWWS!
no, but seriously i dont see it being very possible without FI, so buy a 92 318, swap in an S50, and turbo it...ultimate sleeper (you must leave the 318 badge on)
edit: ps- 325's were '92-'95, 328's '96+
all E36's are beautiful just make sure you get a reliable one and let the modding begin.......

cool. thanks for everyone's input. i'll buy the 328, and then we'll see where it goes from there. i'm gonna have to start off with m3 body kit, and chrome wheels, then probably intake, cams, chip and exhaust.
lol then we'll see where it goes from there.
