well, i k now that a lot of us have airbag lights on... i do too.... i have had it on for a while... i had an inspection/tuneup done by my mechanic. he reset my airbag sensor and the light has stayed off for the past 2 days.
hopfully it will be the same for the rest of you guys
Most of the time, on an e36, an airbag light does not indicate any real problem. All it takes is someone unfamiliar with your car to jamb a seat belt tab into the buckle at an odd angle to set the Airbag light. When my first e36 was new, I got three new driver seat belt buckles on warrantee before I figured out that there was nothing wrong with the buckles, other than an over-sensitive design. Voltage spikes and poor batteries can also set phantom codes. I would be lost without my Peake tools.

I have an E34 1996 which hasthe SRS light showing (I changed the steering wheel for wood repairs) and I cannot get it to go out.
I have a Carsoft 6.5 but this needs the Activation code which I do not have. Can anyone assist as it must be out for the MOT test here in dear old England.
