hopfully it will be the same for the rest of you guys |
hi there does any one know how to reset airbag light on e36
|
1. Peake SRS tool
2. Carsoft v6.5 (up to 2004 models) 3. INPA 4. Autozone 5. Dealer You need a special tool to reset the airbag module, there is no other way to do it, sorry. |
Most of the time, on an e36, an airbag light does not indicate any real problem. All it takes is someone unfamiliar with your car to jamb a seat belt tab into the buckle at an odd angle to set the Airbag light. When my first e36 was new, I got three new driver seat belt buckles on warrantee before I figured out that there was nothing wrong with the buckles, other than an over-sensitive design. Voltage spikes and poor batteries can also set phantom codes. I would be lost without my Peake tools.

Airbag reset
Hi
I have an E34 1996 which hasthe SRS light showing (I changed the steering wheel for wood repairs) and I cannot get it to go out. I have a Carsoft 6.5 but this needs the Activation code which I do not have. Can anyone assist as it must be out for the MOT test here in dear old England. Many thanks Terry |
