I would do m3 cam's first. You will have better gains across the rpm range. Plus it will help to further balance the loss of torque if you decide to do an m50 manifold conversion later.

if you are going to get m3 cams you need the m50 intake manifold. i have never heard of anyone getting just m3 cams.

Eh, I really don't see how headers are an acceptable substitude for an Intake MF. The headers will get me 2-3hp tops.

Gains will be based on what other mods you have. But you will get more than 2 or 3hp.

juts google BMW M3 cam kit. Theres tons of reputable sites that can provde decent kits. there was a good one i was looking at for about $2500 US if im not mistaken, but that included the M3 cams,M50 manifold, CAI, Underdrive pullies, injectors, and all the nessesary mounting hardware needed for install.

Yep, M3 cams (s52) work fine on an m52 (e36 obd2 1996 or newer non-m) car. They're a great upgrade, but new software is highly recommended to go along with them.

For a 328, he doesn't need new injectors. The 328 has the same "pink" injectors that the m3 has, and since the s52 cams come from the m3, the injectors are fine. (325's are a different story, they have "purple" injectors which i believe are 2-3 pounds less)
