we are having some issues. The computer boots up and works, but the second we try and isntall windows, it shuts down. We are going to attempt to install windows on the harddrive outside of the car, on a normal screen we think its a drivers issue with the small screen and setup

once it is installed we will put it back in and it should work fine, in theory atleast

Yeah. Until then, here's a picture of it in action to hold you over. haha

The top screen is my n2, which i'll use for gps navigation and radio. the left side of the pic shows the steering wheel remote control for it, and of course the computer is on the lower touch screen.

I actually just came inside from working on it when I hopped on here to check the forums, before going back out.

Update: Today I got the audio cables fixed so now it's connected to the AVIC-N2 for playing sound through the car system, and I also got some work done on the mounting- adding some brackets to prevent the mount from sliding around during my *cough* spirited driving. I also mounted the SSC (startup/shutdown controller, also acting as a piggy back power supply, dc-to-dc step up) above the computer on the side of the trunk, using zip-ties to clean up the wires so it's all neet. Also today me and Zak (EcianIce) ran yet another USB extention cable (4th in the car) from the trunk where the computer into the cabin (meaning we had to take out the backseats) and mounted the wireless receiver for the keyboard and mouse combo (laptop style pad mouse on a ultra-thin keyboard) under the back seat, so it gets full reception in the entire car. Before I had the receiver in the trunk and it only worked in the backseat because the metal behind the seats killed the signal. Now it's actually inside the cabin, with only foam and leather between it and the keyboard. As for the windows issues, yes I'm still having them. I try to install windows on it and it crashes half way through and restarts. Today I took out the hdd and installed windows on it on another computer and put the harddrive back in the car computer again, started it up, it posted past the bios, then the screen went bright white and it restarted again. Grr... I'll figure it out.

So yeah, everything physical is mounted correctly and permanent, I just need to work out this software issue and I'll be done.
