PAGIDs or MINTEX? looking for brake pads...need advice?
So I gotta replace everything in my brake system within the next 500 to 1000 miles...
I'm already window shopping and I noticed that Bavauto sells OE BMW Pagid Pads and Mintex Pads...they both seem to be good ole pads
Has anyone used these, the Pagids or Mintex and can give me the real scoop on either one?
Which would be better? I want silence pads and minimal dust!
Or just tell me a brand you are using or used that is really good....
I personally sport Hawk HPS performance racing ceramics.... they're not too expensive at $80 a pop, but I can personally say I've never felt a smoother stopping brake pad with almost no dust. And they stop you FAST. You put your foot on the brake and you stop. lol
I've got Mintex 1166 fitted to the 540, and they are brilliant. They don't dust as much as the BMW Pagid pads. Also do a much better job if you actually do track days. No reduction in performance for the road either.

I got bavauto ultimate rotors, and pagid sport pads. Low dust thus far. The rotors I got are kind of cool, they no longer squeal like they did... But not, on the Turnpike, next to those concrete dividers, when I hit the brakes, I can here the clicking noise from the slots in the rotors. Sounds cool...
