E36General discussion and technical help for (E36) 1992-1999 3 series cars. 318, 323, 325, 328.
Aight so im about to go buy some beef jerky, and i start up the car and the idle is immediatly rough. Check engine light comes on so i pull the codes and it flashes
1215 Air Mass/Volume Sensor
This sensor expensive?
Any ideas? should i try to clean it or something?
Also which DME is in my car? its a 93 vanos equipped 325i
new I think it's like 400 from BMW.. I would unplug it, let it sit for a couple of hours and plug it back in and see what happens.. sometimes it just needs to be reset. And your DME I think is 413
Yea, i dunno wtf was up with it, i disconnected it overnight then in the morning i just threw it back on and it worked fine.. maybe its gunna go soon idk, it was fine all week though and i drove 1000+ miles.
It may have been the battery, it was sitting for 2 1/2 days before i tried to start it up that night.
Yea im just going to find a used one if it starts acting weird again.
Delmarco you got raped, its like 395 from pelican brand new.. did they charge you 85 bucks labor? it takes literally 10 seconds to remove and all you need is a flat head driver.
Very common problem like I posted in another thread about the battery. A lot of components rely on the battery for power. And if it hasn't done it since and your car is running normal, I wouldn't worry.
