Want better throttle response? get quicker off the line

Wow guys, I bought the bavauto direct coil plasma packs and noticed a huge difference in off the line torque response. Car seems to jump off the line a little better. And, by replacing those and the secondary air pump, I was able to quell all of my car's problems. Next up - UUC exhaust (like komodo's - those vids are hot man)... Hopefully a CAI from dinan and more to come in the future. But the coils are not a bad place to start for you newbie modders. I also replaced my split-fire plugs with Bosch platinum plus 4s. Thing is roaring right now, and it only took about an hour.

Wow, almost every single review I've heard of plasma coils are that they aren't worth it. It's a very expensive mod and is only used in forced induction situations, and even then the gains are minimal, like 1-2hp people say.

The plasma's coil's themselves seem too expensive for my taste but the plasma booster (sounds like a MSD ignition) sounds like something that might be worth it for a couple hundred. Also sounds like ot me you're just regaining what was lost

could be. But my car accelerates better in 1st and second gear then it ever did, and I have owned it for 3 years.

Also, komodo, its not all about HP. Its about torque too, and how fast that torque is available. You know how you sometimes notice a delay when you mash the gas to pass someone? I haven't experienced a delay since I put these bad boys in....

Plsama booster is great, but expensive... I was considering it for a while and figured I'd wait a little...

Hmm I think spending that 250 or so might have been better spent on a chip or something.

not with the way my baby was running. instead of replacing 2 or 3 coils that went bad, I upgraded. Got away with it with the wife and everyone is happy. I am telling you guys, this was a small, expensive, but well worth it upgrade. I have no problems passing semis and those prick drivers on the PA turnpike anymore.

PS - haile, I think the booster is only for certain cars that use a slightly different coil to plug ignition system.

Komodo, I must say, I love this site. I have learned a lot about my car through discussion with all these guys here. It's been really helpful...

if you want quicker off the line get a new diff. a 3.23 lsd or 3.38 would do a lot for acceleration.

That the thing though, I only thing it's worth the upgrade if you need to replace your coils...
