I dunno Umnitza says that h1's are brighter... (as far as headlights go I dunno about fogs..)

jrhaile 06-28-2005 10:07 PM

Umnitza is wrong unless you get hids or those 62watt bulbs...

doing this conversion is really easy... I'll make a video for you this weekend to follow if you want...

I'd like that too actually. lol

Do you think it's worth it?

jrhaile 06-29-2005 12:05 AM

Worth it? Absolutley! easily 3x the light output. I've done mine and 328isguy81 who is a friend and is on the forums.. it's a badass cheap mod.

billycuth 06-29-2005 08:15 AM

how cheap is cheap? not all of us are as rich as komodo...

jrhaile 06-29-2005 11:07 AM

40 bucks and about 2 hours of your time... just need 2 good H7 bulbs like Silverstars or LazorBlue's which I think looked brighter

BaLAnCe17 07-03-2005 04:35 AM

hey jr hook us up w/ that vid! i printed off something but i would like somethign more clear. im probably going to get the silver stars! cuz they are $20 a bulb which is pretty cheap

jrhaile 07-03-2005 02:05 PM

give me an hour.. will have one...

jrhaile 07-03-2005 02:28 PM

Alright I made a quick 5 minute video on how to do it... this is honestly a very easy upgrade... the basics:

Take out your fog lights by pushing the clip isn\'t of the bumper with a screw driver of your hand and unplug them> Open them up > Take out old bulbs > remove metal hinge that holds bulb in place > get a dremel with a boring bit > bor out the opening until it\'s big enough to fit an h7 bulb down and into it > need to make sure it\'s nice and snug in there > put clip back on and make sure bulb isn\'t going to move at all > if it does, use rubber silicon to secure it better > look at your cap and cut off the existing CIRCULAR connection > splice in another adapter like the one already in your cap > Plug cap adapters back into your bulb in any order > reinstall in the car. Very simple and straight forward.. my video sucks, trust me. Just start doing it and you really can\'t mess it up.
