Any questions?
That would probably be a reason for me not to do it since I am trying to get has much low end torque as possible....

you do not have to remove the manifold to get clean your icv, just remove your air intake box and just squeeze your hand in there, trust me removing the manifold is easy, but putting it on will probably be a pain

Getting the m52 off was easy (15 minutes)... putting the m50 on wasn't TOO hard... the time consuming and annoying part was modifying EVERY SINGLE HOSE AND CONNECTOR from the m52 manifold to the m50 manifold. This means a few trips to lowes, home depot, plumbing stores, and a bunch of other places trying to find elbows, pipes, t-pipes, and everything else with the matching diameter and such. There was a lot of custom work that went into this.

that why i purchased the conversion kit. my mechanic said that buying the kit made it cheaper because it did not require any custom fabrications.

time for some m3 cams to make that baby fly

I did some fun drags tonight on curvy roads with my car and DAMN, that manifold makes a huge difference. It showed itself a lot more prominently tonight than right after I got it.

Love it.

Yea.. The ECU needed time to adapt to it.. The car probably runs a little smoother as well...

It does, but I've noticed my idle has dropped a bit. I idle now around 400, is that anything to worry about?

I thought lower idling was actually better? My bro cleaned his manifold and did some other stuff, and his car idled at about 150 rpm's lower. He doesn't have a BMW tho.

Yeah, a low idle is good, but too low is in danger of stalling.

I would be more worried about a high idle with this setup. The biggest problem is that the ICV and the PCV share the same hose. Which means you are not getting the same airflow as you once did.. BUT, the ECU should try and keep the idle as close to stock as possible. Unless you are getting some stalling issues when stopping I would not worry about it.
