no power uphill
hi everyone,I have these problem. When pushing accelarator padel soft the car will move normal & change normal.when pushing hard the car dont move fast, instead the rev count got stuck around 5000rpm.it does'nt go to next gear.no power at all espessialy uphill.I've checked vacume leak, but still.anyone with help please
The first suspect when someone complains of lack of power climbing hills is the fuel filter. The second suspect is the fuel pressure regulator. Instructions for replacing the fuel filter are here: http://www.frontiernet.net/~papi/Filter.html
Usually when the fuel pressure regulator fails, either the vacuum hose has cracked from old age, or the the diaphragm inside fails and fuel starts leaking out through the vacuum hose to the intake manifold.
