Someone anyone help me...

Bogging, hesitating, randomly wont turn over.

Car: 1994 e36 325i M50 (VN) 2xx,xxxkms

Now i have read through many threads and found similar cases but not quite the same.

I didnt have the time to check it all out myself, so i decided to hand it over to the bmw specialists.

After dropping the car off, a couple hours later i receive a call they telling me that i put diesel fuel in the tank,
I told them its impossible since the nozzle for diesel is nearly twice as large as the unleaded one, but the insisted it was and had to clean the whole system and fuel filter...i agreed.

Later that day i came to pick the car up and the problem wasnt fixed.

With a $1300 dollar bill i was PISSSEDddd. Told my self i will never go their again. Believe me i argued the matter...

My problem started when i tried to start my car and it wouldnt turn over, so i thought starter motor, give it a few knocks but no luck, still the car wouldnt turn over (no noise coming from the engine bay, though it might be my immobiliser…but nah). Anyway I roll the car a bit and tried starting it, and it started. (either put it in nuteral and roll it or move it back and forward while in gear)

From then on i have been having this hesitation bogging down problem around 3k rpm.
Mine is not so noticeable when the car is cold, but barley acceleration when at operating temp when its playing up.

I disconnected the AFM-MAF plug and the problem went away.

Now am i correct when I say that the O2 sensor and AFM work together adjusting the fuel ratios? and are effected by temp? ....but I still wonder the chances of it suddenly not starting and later continously bogging/hesitating being a coincidence?

btw sprak plugs have been changed.

If someone can relate to this problem and has fixed it holla…

If the car runs better with the MAF unplugged, then you have a bad MAF or a massive air leak in the tube from the MAF to the throttle body. When the car is cold, it does not really use the MAF, so that would explain why the problem is not so bad when the car is cold.

Yes, the MAF and the oxygen sensor do work together to tell the fuel control computer what to do with injector duration to meter the fuel in at all speeds above idle.

The cranking problem almost has to be completely independent of the bogging/hesitating problem. That does sound like a bad starter if bumping the car to a different engine position caused it to crank.

Appreciate the reply, waiting on a new o2 sensor.
Ye the positioning of the engine is wired can't understand how both problems occurred simultanously.
