Inside GloveBox + & - connection
Inside my glovebox to the left there is a pos and neg connection that I wanna open up to use but I want to know what is used for before I mess it up... anyone know? Maybe I can tap into it, I just need the power, but I'm still curious on what it is for...

It's for the official BMW flashlight that came with the car. BavAuto sells them if you wanna replace it. I use it to charge my iPod.

Nothing too complicated . . I bought one of those cigarette lighter iPod chargers on eBay. Then I got rid of the lighter plug, soldered power wires on the PC board, and tapped into the flashlight outlet from behind the glovebox. That way it leaves the original functionality intact; I can still plug the flashlight in.
