1993 E36 On Board Diagnostic activation
How do I activate the display to view the OBD for my 1993 E36 320i? I think it has OBD1 with Motronic version 3.x. - going by the year of the vehicle anyway. I have tried the foot activation method but the 'Check Engine' light doesn't light up. Or am I trying to activate a function that doesn't exist with this version?

OBD code access
An aspect that i had not thought about - I tend to agree with you although why the code access should not be available for imported cars to Oz is a bit sad. Thanks for that.

If you are ever around the SE corner of Qld, give me a yell and I will hook it up for you, otherwise have a look at the posts here http://forums.bimmerforums.com/forum...prune=30&f=233 and you should be able to set something up yourself for under $100 if you have an old laptop.
