Question ...erratic guages...1!??

Anyone out there able to help me please ? I removed the battery from my '96 323i as it needed to be re-charged because I had left my radio on overnight a couple times ! When I re-installed it a couple days later,I had lost my fuel guage , water temperature guage , and the tacho no longer working ? Also , the speedo seems to be mis-reading (while it indicates 60kph , the vehicle is actually travelling at 50 ? ! ) Finally , the odometer is not showing ; instead it displays 'pppppppppp'. I have checked all the fuses and they all seem to be fine.

hello everyone...I have the same problem too. My instrument cluster seems to be malfunctioning. The gages are moving eratic and I don't think I'm getting an accurate reading on my speedo. Anyone know a fix to this? Thanks!

i ended up having to take to an auto electrician-they were familiar with this particular problem on these cars and told me that the whole dash had to be sent away to beemer specialist to have modules recalibrated ! ? Anyways,3 days later and $400 dollars later I was contacted by them to say all has been done. However when I collected the car, noticed that the petrol guage was showing orange light-which indicates empty.Took car back where they said they never checked that, because they just thought i had taken the car in,with an empty tank!End of next day i was able to collect again and all ills seem to be sorted.
