bmw e36 325i 1991 instrument cluster dials wont work
hi, my 1991 bmw e36 325i instrument cluster dials wont work everything else works fine, to be specific speedo, revo counter,petrol gage and engine temp dials are dead everything else works, has anybody had this problem before if so please help, did the cluster test and all lights came on plus info came up but dials did not move. thanks please help

Used to be dead batteries on the SI board under the cluster board would cause that. It depends on how yours is equipped, the batteries were deleted during the production run but I don't remember exactly when.

Your Ride: 1996 bmw 323i
evidently you have to get beemer specialist to sort this one.I had same problem but after submitting car to auto-electrical outfit,they arranged for some module inside the dash itself-which had to be sent away-to be replaced.Everything going fine now though,although I am $400NZ lighter !
