Spolier Install
Hey, anyone ever installed a spoiler before?
Is there a diy or something? I'm afraid I'd drill in the wrong place and mess my trunk up. haha. What about water getting in around the screws in the holes?

Good questions. this is why you go with the UUC carbon fiber spoiler. NO HOLES :)

Pretty sure the spoiler kit will come with a template, and seals for the holes, no? If not, I wouldn't buy it.

Yeah, i see that now. It does come with them. I could still probably find a way to mess it up though, haha.
And spielhur, the uuc carbon fiber spoiler might be a bit much... i kinda like the oem'ish look better. I'm not tracking it either so I dont need the adjustable lip.

spoilerdepot.com
It's one of the lowest prices and best looking sleak oem'ish spoilers i've seen. :)

I don't think the paint matching would be a problem. They list the exact color code of my car on the site, so I'm guessing they use that paint number... which would be a perfect match. Like when I got my m3 mirrors painted... same number and they match perfect.

The problem with paint matching is you have to look out for fadding and how the part glides with the rest of the car. If you're paint matching a spoiler I wouldn't worry about it. The way it glides and fits with the rest of the car you probaly won't notice.

I did a spoiler not too long ago...its the drilling thats the hard part. Also, they make these little rubber peices that keep the water away from the nut and keep it from rusting...I believe the stealership has them...

Kinda decided against it for a while. I'm worrying about the interior gadgets first like a computer and my AVIC-N2 headunit. hehe
Spoiler coming in my exterior renovation splurge coming eventually.
|
ok, am probably getting mine within the next 2-3 weeks (not sure.. still debating on going for rims or spoiler + mirrors...)
