brake light issues
 

if my 3rd brake light works when pedal is depressed and the others do not is that in the switch or bulb sockets, OBC is giving circuit fault and light fault. also how do you switch the language on the OBC from german to english or does it have to be replaced.

replace the unit mate there very ceap now days and if the center brake light works it would be the bulbs or the lamp track as ive had thisproblem and change the rear lamp for a ew unit........IREE

My e36 obc tells me "1 brake light failure" report, I checked all my bulbs are fine I also changed the offset bulbs with new one but I still get the "1 brake light fail", is there a way to sort this out? I know Ireestar can help with this, others you are also welcome to comment. Thanks

My ride does the same thing. I think it is an issue with the trunk wiring harness. Look for the post about "Brake Circut Failure". I think there is a pretty easy fix.

Ireestar!!! Which switch are refering to, the brake switch is under the steering wheel?

I've just replaced my brake switch under the steering wheel but I still get the "1 Brake light fail" report, any advise? :(

I've changed the brake switch with good used one, which was much better than mine, the "1 brake light fail" message would disappear and appear after some time. Is there a way to reset it, cause my bulbs are all working? I'm definately sure that it's not the brake switch issue now.
