bmw 316i se 1997
just brought this car and am having problems with the alarm fobs will not work tryed going into learn mode no joy have taken black box out flicked the switch over and bk now indicators flash on for about 5 sec then off and back on please help if i just disconnect black box would tht be ok |

What type of alarm is it? By black box you mean the alarm itself? Romoving it wont work, some circuits are run through the black box, like fuel pump etc |

p.s I had a problem with my own car recently, no fuel pump running, changed the fuel pump, no luck. All relays etc pulling in, stripped out the interior to check the wiring and found all alrm connections where just twisted together and taped up and the fuel pump circuit was broken through the tape to ground. Cobra alrm and cartronics fitted! |

re alarm
its a bmw alarm have disconnected the black box everything works still but would really like to get the alarm working again |
