ZKW's coming, hlp needed pls

OK, my ZKW's with DDE ehanced are coming in tomorrow, and since I know a bunch of you have these I was wondering if you had any tips for me on the installation, and am wanting to do the "parking light delete" so that only the DDE's will light up when I put them on parking light, any help would be most apreciated!

I will post something for your early in the morning.....

the most important things are you unplug the battery during installation, and change the fuses before you even turn the lights on. (this is if they are going to have HIDs)

I'm JR :P Are you getting hids? If you're not getting hids, this is a very simple installation...

no need to replace any fuses or even unplug your battery... I've done the install on several diff cars without any problems as nothing that is electrical is running...

basically for the headlights, take out your old ones, pretty straight forward.. wire up your new ones and plug them in... if it doesn't come with a wiring diagram for the 4 wires, just keep guessing until you get it right haha...

as for the parking light delete, just put a piece of electrical tape over one of the bottom connectors on the actual bulb itself.. you have a 50/50 shot of getting it right :P if it's not right, take it backout and put it on the other one haha.. very simple. good luck and must have pics when done

Not getting HIDs, but for the parking light delete, I actually want to wire the DDE as parking lights.... I guess I'll need to transfer the wires from the parking lights to the DDE's so that way I shouldn't get an error code on the check control thingy. I've done this for my licnese plate lights, they don't light up but nothing show on the check control because I transfered their wire to ym rear parking lights..

I hope Fedex doesn't let me down and actually brings them in tomorrow, otherwise Umnitza shall hear a peace of my mind

Thx for everyone's help, so JR you said taking the stock headlights is pretty straight forward?

umm 3 bolts that are easily seen up front and 2 on each side.. might have to remove the plastic cover thingy that's in the center/front of the engine bay... also you need to take out your corners first too.. I just took the grey wire and spliced it into the grey/purple wire going into the corners... this also does a cool effect if you have an alarm with lighting... like on my girls car, when she hits her alarm, the halos flash at the same time as the corners :P

Yeah, getting a new module wasn't worth it, I wish I would have gone aftermarket, if only I knew
