E36General discussion and technical help for (E36) 1992-1999 3 series cars. 318, 323, 325, 328.
Well, they are on the car. They look great, I will post pics in a little bit.
OK, install was pretty easy ONCE Umnitza sent me the wiring diagram, it all went smoothly, however, the ZKW's are longer than stock headlights, so it was a bit hard to get them in since on one side their is the intake and on other one the siren for alarm (which I had to relocate and I have stock alarm...) But I love the way they look. However, I won't be fully pleased up until my super bright white bulbs come in.
NOW the question is... Do I put eyebrows on or not?
Umnitza now provides a mechanic to install all parts ordered right in the box! It's their new "Total customer service program" that will eliminate all the haters and keep incompetents from breaking **** and blaming the vendor! When you are all set simply call INS and they will pick him up free of charge.

to aim, there are two screws in the back of the headlights (can be adjusted w/ a screwdriver). the one next to the projector is the left/right, and the one behind the higbeam is up/down. be careful not to loosen then too much or they may pop out and need to be rethreaded. one of my screws popped out and was never the same. i got an allen wrench and stuck it in the back of it. it seemed to adjust better than those little screws. but uses the screws 1st... lol
^^ Yeah I saw them this morning, but now that you say that am sure that those are it I'll take it to my dad's shop tomorrow and use his "aiming" machine

on the topic of aiming...
Rooz, do you remember the three black bolts that are on the top of your headlights that keep your headlights in on the top? There are also a few of these bolds on the sides of the headlights. You can screw or unscrew these to aim your headlights as well.

I think the DOT wants you to have them perfectly level with how high they are from the ground. Just measure with some measuring tape and back up 15 feet from a wall, then turn the screws upwards one revolution cause you can't see shit otherwise :P

Yeah, i used those to have the headlights be the same with each other...

It's pretty neat when you get to a light and you can see the 4 halos on the reflection of other cars, lol
