HELP! trunk wont open on 318i
 

hi all .I have a 318i sedan 1997 4 door on which the trunk wont open. I have tried the remote and used several spare keys to manually try to open the trunk.
Question is there a latch or release cable located somewhere in this car. ROOZ kindly gave some help but i am still unable to open this trunk. Any advice would be great..Thanks John.

I had the same problem with my 96 328i. I just baught the car a few days ago, and none of the keys were working with it. All I had to do was press the central lock button, next to my shifter, to lock the doors and then unlock again. Now it opens.

Well, that worked yesterday for me but not today. My trunk wont open again. I locked and unlocked it like 5 times in a row, and it worked. But once I closed it, it wont open again. It's weird that I cant use any of my keys to manually lock or unlock it. If you figure it out let us know.
